چکیده

Purpose Action design research (ADR) has become widely accepted as a prominent method within information systems when managing design-oriented projects. One purpose of the ADR is to provide methodological guidance for building IT artefacts. However, several scholars have reported lack support at micro level. This article aims complement macro level by integrating prescriptive Design/methodology/approach A qualitative approach including direct content analysis. An empirical project was analysed in order identify that could be integrated into method. Findings Method identified all stages The consists procedural support, guiding concepts, and various techniques documentation tasks stated Research limitations/implications contribution theory aspects concerning integration levels: relationships between normative continuous focus shifts, completeness. Practical implications practice explicit suggestions Originality/value study extends previously provided knowledge offering evidence theoretical constructions consisting elaboration on levels.

Action Design Research - An Integrative Research Method for Studying Design

It is the premise of this position paper that a combination of design research and action research can be very useful for studying high performance designs. However, there has been a separation between the two approaches. A growing body of literature is recognizing these cross fertilization possibilities between AR and DR. Researchers argue for similarity between the two (Järvinen 2007; Lee 200...
